Hi all

After 4 years without a Cerb, I couldn't resist any longer and picked up a really nice 4.2 a couple of weeks ago. In that time we've had an Elise, 911 (996), and a few classic Lotus, and still have a 85 Turbo Esprit, which I think is a keeper.

But the test drive in the Cerb blows them all out the water in my opinion.

I had a 4.5 before which was rapid, but this 4.2 feels quicker if thats possible!

Can anyone tell me which manifold the Lamba 2 is on, I had the MIL light come on with a misfire, and the car cuts out on tickover, needs to be constantly revved to keep it running.
I plug in the laptop and its showing up bad Lamba 2, and it is pretty much staying at 1.85V constantly, whereas the other is flicking between 0.0 - 1.00V as it should.

Are those symptons consistant with a lamba sensor gone down? when I had a dodgy one on the 4.5 it ran ok just a little lumpy.

Also how can I tell if the engine is a clatter cam, from the engine number?

Many thanks for any help

Lambda 2 is the drivers side. It could either be the sensor its self or probably more likely the sensor reading is because you are either missing a spark on one pot or you have an injector stuck open.

Cheers guys

I'll investigate injectors and coils etc first, rather than lose all the skin on my knuckles changing the lamba for no reason!
