Cerb Front Discs
Discussion
Hi All,
When I bought my cerb a year ago it had a fairly serious steering wheel wobble under brakeing. So as part of a full service about 6 months ago I had the front discs skimmed at Fernhurst. This fixed the issue, however now it's back. I ran into someone with a chimp at the BNG at sherbourn a few weeks ago who said he had the same problem, and that TVR discs weren't great. With this in mind, does anyone have any suggestions for good uprated front discs for a cerb? My dad has black diamonds on his Griff and they're epic, however I can't find them for a cerb.
It's a 1997 4.2.
Any help would be awesome,
Thanks
Matt

Standard 4.2 disks aren't bad, you just need a good pad with them. I ran fine with mintex 1144's until I cooked my brakes at castle coombe. I'm now running Carbon lorraine pads and they are great.
Not many options for the 4.2 disks from standard unless you go the whole hog and upgrade.

Morning steve,
It cheaper to swap to the one piece discs, than get the rotors on their own. I think they are a direct replacement to the bells & rotors.
I changed mine to the RG ones. See this thread too.

Cheers mate that's already been done on my cerbera...think I have Tuscan S cross drilled fronts....but have a pair of Bells....fancied the look of them, was thinking of a possible way forward for that Tuscan Challenge car project I am trying to peice together...
Hope your Cerb is running well...

I had this on Cerbs for years - and 4.5 discs aren't cheap - just rubbish
Fit Tuscan S Discs ( which are also drilled) and the problem will never return ( They're cheaper too!)
I disagree - the 4.5 (separate bell) discs are great and much better than the poor quality Tuscan S one piece discs. Fit Tuscan S Discs ( which are also drilled) and the problem will never return ( They're cheaper too!)

Calipers and Bells for £450 - that is definitely not an overestimate of their value.Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
