Alarm failure

Had to leave the Cerb out during all the rain, came to open it up this morning and the alarm is totally dead.
I've just replaced the batteries in the fob and the car battery is only a month or so old, is it possible that the rain has caused a short?
Has anypne got some friendly advice to offer? ....... Please

Turns out a relay fitted was the wrong one and completely drained the battery!
All resolved now but I think I will get the alarm guru to check it out before he leaves for sunnier climates.
