I've got one ;)
Discussion
I have a nice and shiny silver 4.2 on my drive and a big smile on my face!
I will take some photos later, however I have some questions already.
What tyre pressures should I be running? And where do I get a number plate for a cerbera from? (See through for the light)
Has anyone got a manual? (Electronic eg pdf would be great)
Anyway did 60 miles last night collecting it and all I can say is WOW. It was so much better than any others I drove and its virtually standard!

Welcome to the Madhouse
Have just checked in the owner’s manual (which I follow) and it says
Front/Rear 22/24 Standard
25/28 “Sustained high speed or fully laden”
Just realised that they quote different wheel and tyre sizes to mine but have run those pressures for 7 years and am very pleased with the results.

Hi Welcome to the fold.
Tyre pressures , I tend to run around 24psi all round on both my 17" and 18" wheels i tend to start around that and tweek them a a psi at a time as the Cerb is sensitive to adjustments. But 24 all round works for me.
Reg plates, This is where i got mine from.

Get ready for random electrics and underpant loosening acceleration. : )
Had mine a few weeks now, seems every job involves being upside down at some stage.
Anyway, i run 26/28 on mine ( 16's at the moment, Spiders being fitted with a respray in a few weeks time ) sits very happily even in the wet.

Nice one Darren was it the York one?
I forgive your comment as you were only a passenger in mine
Hope all goes well any problems drop me a line and most of all enjoy!!
Yeah the York one, it's a quick silver one too! Seriously, I've driven some quick cars in my time, including the ones I tested, but this one scares me its that quick! I think the ones I looked at must have had something wrong with them! I forgive your comment as you were only a passenger in mine

It has a 96 silver chassis, so is relatively rush free, and best of all, bar the spiders, exhaust wrap and rear exhaust boxes, it's totally standard. No service book but most of the service sheet printouts, and it appears very looked after. Just had nearly every electrical box fixed, needs the wing mirrors and high beam blue warning looking at, also suspension is soft and headlight reflectors are knackered, but all in all, I thing it's a little gem.

Get that exhaust wrap off - likely to rot your manifolds.
Who says? My last car had it on for 30k miles/ 6 years and it was fine, this has been on since 2004 and it has no rust at either end ( I looked). It's all about how it used. If you warm up properly the wrap will not contain water and therefore cannot rust the metal underneath.Either way the advantages of having it far outweighs the disadvantages.

Waste of time and disadvantages on a cerb outweigh the benefits from what I have seen in 16 yrs of tvr ownership...

It's been well debated on here. Tvr manifolds are rusty and cracking buggers. The engines leak oil and fuel and so wrapping creates a fire hazard too.

I'm not disputing your knowledge. Oil and fuel on a manifold will cause a fire risk if its wrapped, bare or made of chocolate. Wrap is proven to reduce under bonnet temperatures which will allow the engine to make more power, it also speeds up the exhaust gas flow and increases cylinder scavenging.Waste of time and disadvantages on a cerb outweigh the benefits from what I have seen in 16 yrs of tvr ownership...
I realise the manifolds may rust and crack, but I'm sure that they will do that wrapped or not, what people write on forums should always be taken with a pinch of salt, we have no knowledge what has happened prior the the event (eg have they hit a road hump, or has it only been started and not run?)
I will take my chances, same as owning a TVR!
(You watch this space, Sod's law says my manifold will be sat broken on my driveway when I go out there later!) ha ha
