Right, just removed two very wet carpets from my footwells. I'm guessing this is fairly comon from other posts so thought i'd ask before ripping things apart..

Seems the leak is coming from either the join in the door seal or the emergency handles ( both sides of the car equally wet in the same spots. Tunnel/carpet on sides of footwel dry as a bone ).

Anyone had similar?

Chances are its the door seal
How ever if the water is coming in throu the handles
Then the sils are full check the drain holes on the under side in the wing and sils
Simonkd put a very helpfull list up I had the same problem
And went throu the list and stoped my leek in the end it did take me 6 months to sort
Good luck

Actually, it's going for a full respray in three weeks... suspect they will undo any changes i make and replace most of the seals anyway, so i'll just drop it off with as many new seals as i can get my hands on and let them deal with it! : )

I had mine resprayed in the spring
I dropped off a box of new rubbers which the nice man fitted for me I now have no leaks atall
I really didnt fancy doing them myself after hearing all the stories of how difficult they are to get right on here
Result i,d say

had my door seals replaced at bespoke dint cost too much , and were fitted in a way that involved more than just knocking on the door seal plus they also put cuts in them that drain any water out the door rather than in, car seems to be dry so far, plus now my drivers door window is generally behaving a lot better and returns all the way up nearly all of the time smile
