Diff Rebuild Recommendation?
Discussion
Just got mine back from Readman after I found excessive play in the output flanges (killed speedo sensor) and also making a whining noise. Readman found that the teflon liners were non-existent and even returned some of the melted bits they found inside for me to look at! Hopefully I will have time to fit it at the weekend. Total cost was £420 inc vat and shipping as the diff didn’t need any major parts.

I used this firm. Complete rebuild and paint was about £350 iirc. Seemed to know their stuff. Can't tell you if the result is any good yet tho - car not running yet.

I had a discussion about rebuilding my diff with Readman Racing, in the end we decided that it didn't really need it, but he had a very specific recommendation as to oil, which apparently is the only oil on the market that is the same as the oil that the diff was specced to use. Having used this oil I must say the whole thing feels a lot tighter and smoother as he said it would.
Unfortunately I can't remember off the top of my head what the oil is
but I will have a look this evening or if you give him a ring I am sure he would tell you.

I also use Morris in the engine and gearbox.
