Can anyone suggest what would be the best back boxes to put on my Cerb ?

The one's I had on the car were taken off (nicked) by a certain garage! and replaced with two boxes which were broken and sounded crap!

Say no more!!!

I'm of to a exhaust garage to get a new one fitted this week and was wondering if anyone could suggest which make or what kind of boxes

would make it sound deep, and not make the backfire sound like a shotgun going off every time your foot comes of the pedal !

Cheers

The popping and crackling on overrun is due to the valve overlap of the engine - not the exhaust. You can reduce the volume of it with a standard back box but you can't get rid of it.

For a good sound, and to stop any scrotes stealing you back boxes again, try doing what I did... Fit straight pipes without boxes! smile

Are you mad - deaf or both ?
Dont suppose you have a video of it ?

I had "Sports" exhaust on mine, no cats, lasted about 1 week could'nt take any longer than that.
The over run was like someone on the back seat with a bass drum & starting gun, so god alone knows how loud yours was Pole?

Thanks guys, I've actually got cherry Bombs put on the car last week, made by powerflow, they sound good on acceleration, but when ur foot comes of that pedal the backfire is so loud, it scares the life out of the old granny's walking up the road wink!!!

So I can not imagine having no boxes from the cats back !!!!

I rang the garage today and they are going to replace them for something else a bit bigger than the cherry bombs !!!
