One of the best videos I've ever seen of The Ring - Brill' thumbup

Took my Godson around one week later and for the first time both cicuits were open - which was a bit of a shock when I got to the "Right-hander" yikes

But 27 Euro/lap is just robbery.

I've been going to the Ring since 2006, and when visiting my parents afterwards my mum would say: "When can I come?" to which I would put her off with some nonsense about the weather, distance, cost etc. However last year I booked my first DN trac kday, which happened to be on my mum's birthday. I thought that would be a much better bet than the chaos of TF laps, so I suggested that my parents drove down as well. Last year I was using my 928, which is somewhat more refined than the Cerb, and a lot safer in the event of an incident, so I was moderately relaxed about it. My mum came out for a couple of laps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, my dad passed on the offer, however on seeing the video I took with my mum in the car he expressed regret, repeatedly.

Early this year my mum complained bitterly to me that I'd not taken her for a flying lap including the main straight, so when I booked the October DN track day I decided to risk one more trip with my parents, despite this one being in the Cerb. Whether my mum was really interested in Vmaxing down the straight, or whether she just wanted to ensure that my dad got a chance to do some pax laps, I don't know. But this time my dad came out for the sighting laps and then for a couple of laps later in the day as well.

Since there was the chance to do Spa on the same trip, we did that as well, with both parents doing pax laps there too. They are nearly in their eighties, I'm not expecting them to do any more track days, they've done the two best tracks in Europe, they've ticked that box well and truly.

Splendid... biggrin

I think that if I did that with my parents, my old man would be having kittens but I think my mum would like it (being an old biker for many years, speed doesn't phase her).

Excellent video, thanks for sharing!

Also thanks for introducing yourself at Spa, looks like you had a great time there as well! Sorry I didn't get more of a chance to talk, it was a busy day, can't wait to go back there!
