Try this link https://www.craigsplates.com/ you can order the rear plates from them they are translucent not transparent, you will need to send copy of log book and ID and you can pay extra to get them delivered next day after thye recieve all the details from you, hope that helps

Lack of knowledge on their behalf!.
It is a pain, I always put mine through at str8six, a bit of a drive but avoids such issues.
At least you've got another year ......

Out of interest is yours the dark green Cerb i've seen in Donny?

There are a couple of TVR friendly garages in Sheffield that can sort out your MOT if you can get there.

I just open the boot on the Griff and show them working from the inside and explain 'that's how they are on a TVR'. Never had a problem smile

When i bought mine i couldnt work out why the number plate was so dim. I put humungus brigth LEDs in before i realised it needed a translucent plate. I got the plate from http://www.platesforcars.co.uk

Unless you have removed the cats there shouldnt be a problem with emsissions, mine passses easily at the local garage 0.02 CO, 38pm HC 1.016 lambda

I was assuming that the test was being carried out in the usual conditions and the tester was looking for the lights.
As these are hidden I thought that lack of knowledge was a safe assumption,
Rarely do the plates illuminate in daylight, I had the same question asked of mine and I have the transparent plate ..... Hence I took it to Str8six ......

You could never see the number plate lights on mine, but it never stopped it passing the mot for the six years I had it! They had bigger things to focus on like poor chassis, oil leaks & dodgy starter motors!! laugh

First time I went to try it over here I thought that there would be a problem so I wired in some extra powerful bulbs. They failed it anyway but by the time I'd got the car home, the bulbs had melted two holes in the plate yikesrofl
