EDIT: Sorry, I can't spell Cerber!!

Hello All,

Not sure if your interested but here's a link to the dyno graphs of my 4.5LW after a run during Ted's rolloing road day. The car has the new TVR-Power map, does the torque curve look any smoother than the standard curve?

Cheers,

Rob

Looks to me like your car still has the inherent Cerb problem. Falling torque and power in the mid-range. On my previous 4.5 this happened a little lower down the rev range (approx 3K) than yours. Ideally you want to fill this part of the curve in. If you can you'll really notice the difference.

Does yours feel just a little dull on the throttle at about 3700rpm?

Nice to see the classic AJP "Camel back" torque curve..mine's the same (4.2, 97, no mods). Did you do anything to it before or since?

I really want to find out if the APM-later-factory chip improves matters.

I have to admit that I'm not a good enough driver to identify any momentary power loss that would translate to a trough a in the torque curve - it just feels fast!

The new chip I had fitted before the rolling road is the 'APM-later-factory' chip from TVR Power. It does not seem to make any difference when he car is 'on the boil' although it has absolutely transformed its behaviour sub 3k. It can now be driven at 1500 rpm relatively easily.

Those figures seem a little less than the 420bhp/380lbft figures mentioned in my logbook!

90lbft and 70BHP down... would be interesting to see what TVR had to say about figures like these.

I didn't think anybody believed the book figures anymore? I'm more than happy with the fact that its a 'normal' Cerbera.

In all honesty I don't think that I'm 'Jonnie Big Potatoes' enough to deal with 420BHP anyway!

Joospeed, whats with the 'Stop Press: Engine Mapping' or similar on your banner add? Are you refering to the two chips you have on order?

Do I take it that the Austec chip is dead in the water?
