is that a serious comment , the last time i drove to france i dint bother with either , but that before i had accquired an immensely flash sports car which i am confident may make a lot of difference when the police are looking for victims to fine.

I haven't bothered for years albeit it is likely an indefensible position!

"They were on there when we drove off the ferry officer"

Same as, done a few euro trips in the Cerb (bright yellow not these wussy stealth colours wink) and never bothered. Got flashed a few times in the middle of the night at Le Mans on the way back from Arnarge but that's about it.

Just drive it in the daylight smile

+1

Done many trips in a number of different cars, but not a cerb yet. As said try to do the driving during the day but if you are driving at night be as thoughtful to those on coming cars. Only really been flashed on narrower roads.

oh yes that was sweeet ! rotate

2000 miles and not a hiccup ( cept for the passenger window rattling when it was down , hardly worth a mention )

didnt bother with sticking anything on my car ( decided to have a couple of hundred euro at hand for french police state incident, that didnt happen )

got up to 150 mph , very proud of that its good for me at least ,

roads around the hills of barcelona amazing highly recommend

at 90mph average fuel consumption 21mpg-motorway
at 100 = 17.5mpg (this was moving between 80 and 110 but mainly at a 100)

all of the above obviously happened in germany

absolutely kin great - the cerb was made for europe
thats not to mention its popular reception by everyone ( mayb it s bcos they dont know its plastic )

and it didnt rain once
too good cant wait to do it again

now to see if er anything catches up with me (cough)smile

On a more serious note, really good to hear your trip went so well without problems. Pity we don't have more threads like that instead of the doom and gloom of cost of ownership. Always good to educate the mainland to what a bit of British engineering is like biggrin

Makes me even more annoyed I ended up as the under bidder on FUB4R at the recent DVLA auction. Sold for £4,440 (plus VAT, Taxes etc so probably ended up £5.5-6k) cry

noooo, i am very gutted for u fubar, when i first looked it was £6k , so i gave a joke bid of £2.5k only as a laugh , and when i next looked it had jumped up to £20k, i suppose its not out of the question one of the many bars or the new beer named fubar (a measely 4.4% hardly worthy of the title) may have the collateral and can justify the purchase.
