I have a long scratch/scuff on my windscreen, looks like its from a worn windscreen wiper blade going over the screen when it wasnt raining.

Anybody got and ideas or recomendations on how to get rid of it and what to use please?

Cheers
Alex

IIRC "Jewellers Rouge" was recommended for similar (watch glass, i think)

Alan

Edited to add:
Glass Scratch Remover Paste recipe: 2 tablespoons glycerin (buy at drugstore), 2 tablespoons jeweler's rouge, and 2 tablespoons water. Make paste, dab on clean cloth and rub scratched areas. If deep scratch, repeat as necessary. MAKE SURE THE JEWELLERS ROUGE IS RED, not green or white.

Why dont you crack your windscreen, and get it replaced free through your insurance ,,most have a deal with autoglass,,no excess to pay and doesnt affect no claims

I'm sure if you bring it to some parts of Sheffield, then someone will do it for you. Nice brick through the wind screen.

I'm worried about letting Autoglass touch my Cerb.
Only just had the leaks sorted and don't want any back again!!

To be fair they sorted my windscreen didnt fill it ,,just replaced it ,,not had any leak issues but i personally would find scratches realy off putting,,a centre hole punch on the middle of the screen should do the trick,,itl look just like a stone chip lol

Most insureres will also offer a windscreen repair service, Lake had his Cerbera screen sorted out as soon as he got it and I can't see anything on it...

You don't even have to pay the £50 excess then, and after my experience with a replacment windscreen on an S and three months without a car that's a very good thing

So Dave ,,Alex you my friends need to crack your windscreens,,,actually they may replace it if its scratched if it is off putting ,therefore potentially dangerous they shouldnt have any issues with it,,,I would try to get them to come to your house or work,,when i had mine done he wanted me to drop my Cerb with him at base ,,but not until hell freezes over am i letting an auto glass bloke manoeuver,my pride and joy in an out of tight spaces and around their car park,,,he came to my office in the end,lol

I used T-Cut on the back screen of my Chimp and it worked wonders but not sure how efective it will be on glass, it may not be strong enough.
