...then a short extension bar, then a UJ, then a long extension bar, then the rachet.
The order of the short and long extension bars might be the wrong way round. Also, I can't remember if it's an 8 or 10mm allen bolt.

Olly

Cheers guys was trying to avoid butchering my ball end Allen keys to chuck in a 10m socket. But that will sort it once I escape babysitting duty a bit later.
I have Halfords pro kit but just can't get a straight enough run at the cap head.
All not helped by fact my ujs/elbows have loads of play in them from years of abuse.

Are you talking the drivers side or passengers side?
If it's the passengers the try a normal L shaped Allen with it going off horizontal then get a claw hammer hook it over the Allen key (it should fit between the exhaust and G.box) and pull down on that.
If it is the Drivers side.. A bit more scary this but it does work if your careful, but do be careful..
Again a normal allen key off horizontally get a jack and length of wood and basically jack up on the Allen key.
If you undo the gearbox mount first it will give you more room to pull the box around giving you more elbow room to work with.
These bolts can be real pigs to get out. usually the passengers side is worst.
