Headlight arrangement factory fit
Discussion
Hello,
I have a 1996 Cerbera 4.2 which I am totally rebuilding. At present the body is off the chassis, completely stripped down and being prepared for a new paint job. At this stage I am unsure about modifying the headlights to the later style, I have seen different sidelight and headlight configurations some pictures have seperate sidelights and others I assume have it built into the indicator pod or one of the headlights. Were the twin headlights fitted in the factory as standard, if so from which year and what arrangement.
Thanks

I think it was around the 1999/2000 that the mk2 come out with the change of head light.
I have a 2004 car with them and the little side light is crap. And would personally change it to having the two main lights either side with the side light in one of the main lights and consider having the indicator the same and having fogs where the current indicators are.

Peter you could try what I have done to mine.
Change the bulb behind the little plastic lens with a LED It's not much brighter but does look way cooler. And also if like me you have a dormant sidelight in your main headlight unit then connect this up too. Again I replaced the bulb with an LED
Both simple but rather effective.

Or you could go the real high tech route and put LEDs in

They even do these in 7"

But I think they do look a bit weird.

Certainly a lot of possible options to consider, thanks for the links I will discuss them with my bodyshop guy at Salford MK . What diameter are the factory fit ones, are there plastic lens covers available that would enclose them so when you look at the car from the side they follow the profile of the wing. Maybe that would affect the beam pattern.Has anyone pics of conversions they have done.
