Ice Warning Light

Got cerbie back from cracking service by Noel at V8 Sports and been blasting around central Scotland ever since.
Now I know the nights are drawing in and its not as warm as it has been but my ice warning light keeps flashing all colours of the rainbow as I drive along - methinks its just a dodgy connection or the sensor is on its way out as hitting cats eyes and other bumps tend to make it flash although it can flash on and off completely randomly . Any way I can disconect or suss out what the problem is ?
PS - if you were jacking up the back end with a trolley jack where is the best place to put the jack - I looked for the diff but I assume its high up behind the back seat.
