Good evening all. Some of you might remember Diane and I from our days at the Mid Essex region of the TVRCC.Where Diane was RO along with Pauline(yellow peril)We had a Midas gold T350C. We've not had a Tiv for over four years, and have been debating about getting one again. I've always wanted a cerb, but thought that one might be a bit tight in my garage due to the very long doors making it a job to get out of once in the garage. So i'm after a bit of a favour....Would a nice kind Cerb owner who possibly lives near me in Essex(great leighs)like to come to my house and see how it fits in my garage.I'll pay your fuel for your trouble.
Thanks in Advance...Dave

It was a post like this that started me on the slippery slope to Cerb-dom biggrin.

It fitted btw, in case you hadn't guessed. The doors are long but a bit of carpet on the walls can do wonders if it is a bit of a squeeze.

I have carpet on the walls from previous TVR ownership. I think whats also stopped me from having one was because i suffer with a bad back, and can't easyly twist out of tight spots. So would you be good enough to send me the floor size of your garage when you've got a mo please.

If you are OK leaving it unlocked leave the window down it provides for much easier access.

Welcome back biggrin

Well I would PM you but it won't let me because it says that you haven't set up your email address. However, you should be able to email me through pistonheads and if you let me know how to get in touch then I am sure we can arrange something.

I recently rejected a couple of houses my gf wanted to move into because the garage wasn't big enough for the Cerb and there is no substitute for trying it.

As above...I have had smallish garages before... I tend to reverse the cerb in, getting the near side of the car as close to the wall as possible. To get out of the car I slide the seat rigght back, wind the drivers window right down and then push the open door against the offside wall (with some carpet on it) and then shimmy out. Not too difficult even with an achey back.

Hi Dave. I'll drop you a PM with the measurements. FWIW GazzaB's technique is the one I use, and many others too, to free up a bit more space.
