To (mis)quote someone on here a while ago "a partial body lift is what you do when you get the body a couple of inches off the chassis and stand back and have a cup of tea before you lift it the rest of the way..."
Bearing in mind the angles involved in getting the tub to clear the top of the engine bay, it is no less work to lift it enough to get to the top of the outriggers than it is to take it right off.
ETA - There will be holes and you will need to get them repaired.

The workshop manual tells you what you need to disconnect. (and the order to do it in)
This man knows his stuff....mine would still be connected to each other without his help!I used this as my basic guide of what to take off, BUT as I found out, not everything is in the same places or there may be extra screws in bloody inaccessible places!

This is great and very informative
I will defiantly use this when the time comes to do mine
How ever I expect that some of the bolts on mine are in different places
But that's part of the charm of the cerb
I will be practicing on Davey dee's car first
And learn from the mistakes I make on that
Great job and with pictures
