Interior lights
Discussion
I've been finishing the cerb off for the last couple of months, everything was ok but recently I have found that when I close the drivers door the window goes back up but now the interior lights don't turn off, also the alarm won't set. The passenger door works ok but still the alarm won't set. I'm thinking that the alarm thinks the door is open. I've used a magnet to check the reed switch in the bottom of the door and that works ok. I've also disconnected and reconnected the control box but still the lights stay on. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking the microswitch but the window goes up and down ok, I have found also that sometimes when operating the window from inside the car the window will occasionally go up to the microswitch position then stop. Any info would be appreciated.
Hi Couple of things spring to mind. There is a little magnet in the door sill to trip the reed switch, sometimes all or part if this falls out (has happened to me twice now)which can cause odd behaviour.
Secondly, do you have small children? My 2 year old often plays with the internal light switches when he's in the car, either meaning dark when I get in or drained battery
