When I blip the fob the car locks and opens when I push the black button the ignition lights come on but the fuel pump and starter wont kick in the battery is new, can anyone advise.

If you've checked all the fuses then the next culprit is the immobiliser.

Tried pressing the alarm button on the fob when the ignition is on? If it comes on then it's a sign your immobiliser is dieing. Also try using the touch key in the dash.

Mine has always been button on fob to unlock if your quick enough getting in then its just press the black button mil light comes on fuel pump primes. Press black button again to start. If I get in and and wait for 30 seconds its press the black button no MIL light and no pump press the fob again MIL light comes on and pump primes then press black button again to start.

Yep, that's how it should work.

If the immobiliser re-activates in under 30 seconds then it's a sure fire sign your immobiliser is dying.

Worth checking the multi plug is tight in the immobilizer mine came lose once and i could not start it, also give it a light tap one of the relays inside could be stuck and it might at least fire up. It will need replacing as i had this happen to my chims one as well.

Try that 'dont touch' silver key in the cubby hole.
Wiggle it, just a little bit.
