Has any one out there changed the air feed pipes on a ajpv8
The ones that run from the air filter box to the air boxes
With ether silicon and or polished stainless tubing
Or any success in painting them to colour code with the air boxes
Mine is running the 4.2 induction
Pics would be great if you have any
Cheers jim

I have seen someone with matt silver airboxes and the air feed pipes replaced with (I think) K&N Round Tapered air filters on the end of each airbox. The sliver looked great on a metalic light purple car.

Would have thought it was a step backwards in performance as you will be sucking warm to hot air into the engine as opposed to cooler air from outside the engine bay.

Mark its was a bit of fun as we ran it around for a few days without the bonnet as I was changing the bonnet & managed to bugger up the bonnet hinge, but yes with a bionnet on it would be a bad idea.

Good40 Ok it was a bit feeble maybe I should have put boom Boom at the end in true basil form.smile
