I'd say so, the guy said that they strip the lacquer then remove the powdercoat so the rim is down to the bare aluminium. They then asses and make sure the rim is repairable, if not they reject them and don't charge. If they can be repaired they weld any kerbing, make sure they're round and true, then re-powdercoat and lacquer. (I think!)
They even add the tvr logo under the lacquer if you want, which is nice.
(And it's cheap if you just bring the alloy with no tyre)
