Sorry folks - I've been stupid again.

My Tuscan owning friend came round to see the car, and we pressed the black button with LED on the centre console (same style as the internal door opener buttons). Now it flashes green upon locking the car, and I can't open the boot with the Cerbera badge. The owners manual is in the boot. Lastly, the indicators now flash 4 times upon locking, not 3.

I have a PDF of the 1996 4.2 manual which doesn't mention this. What have we done? weeping

As far as I know it disables the external entry buttons to stop car jacking if you like. I've pressed it' before and couldn't let my date in to the car when picking her up. Lol.

Try pressing it again or disconnect the battery for a minute might reset it

And don't press it again

Thanks Peter. Does disconnecting the car battery bring any subsequent issues? Such as needing to reprogramme things...

Shouldn't do. Other than loosing your radio stations. Disconnected mine enough times and always fine.

Ta. I'll give that a crack tomorrow after work if it's not raining.

Just to remind you that the windows will wind up and the doors lock when you reconnect the battery...

Cheers.
