Hi all,

Think I may have a slight issue with my drivers window.

When I am in the car and put the window fully up on the button there is quite a lot if wind noise whilst driving. First I just thought that was the reason why so many drive with the window open an inch but then noticed there was no noise from the passenger side?

Also noticed, as I open the door the window drops as it should but when it is then closed the window returns to just touching the seal not fully shut. Only when I lock the car does the window return fully to the top.

All thoughts and possible remedies welcomed.

Cheers, M

Try unplugging and replugging the window control box.
Wind noise is a mix of door mirror and rubber seals. I guess. (as well as glass down).

Mine does the slightly off tight shut but a quick lock unlock does the trick. Never bothered me and its only on the drivers side so will be connection or rubbers. No big deal.

Hi mate
Mine use to drive me mad
Then after taking the door card off I found that the glass is
Ajuster with the missis out side the card and me on the inside
I slackend the bolts of that holds the glass and
Pushed the glass up until she told me it met all
The way round nice and tite relighted the bolts
Job done

Sounds about right to me.
You do get noise though there but it might need a slight tweak to pull the glass in a little or maybe your door seal needs replacing.

Hi there,

Had same issue, just took of the door card and re-ajusted the window until it closed properly. It might worth be replace the door switches when you're on that (MK1 has the one from the VW Passat and only cost a few quid).

good luck!
