taking the cerb to australia
Discussion
- Condition needs to be spotless before shipping.
- Need to obtain permission from DOTARS BEFORE shipping.
- Take as much paperwork with you as possible for proof of purchase price, value, etc... The authorities love paperwork and it's in your best interest to show it as having as lower value as possible.

...then you've got to deal with VicRoads, to get a Road Worthy Certificate (RWC) and registered.
Do some reading on the DOTARS & VicRoads websites and if you need a hand, I've got a good friend & petrol-head in Melb, who would be interested in helping/playing in a Cerb.

Not sure they would allow the car on the road over there.
A friend of mine tried to take his E-type over a few years back and they said it would have to have side impact protection fitted to the doors before it would be allowed on the road.
Then as above the import duty was huge, so needless to say he sold it over here.

I'm surprised there are so many hurdles for commonwealth countries. Very often countries do not charge taxes/VAT if private goods are imported in conjunction with an immigration (or at least with a reduced rate).
