Hi Guys, has anyone fitted a tuscan style optimate charger connector to their Cerb. If so where did you get it from and how much if you can remember. Also how did you get your battery out, Jees, can seem to get mine out.

Cheers for any help

If you mean the plug in jump unit, Leven Technology will sell you one...

www.leventechnology.co.uk/index.htm

You can fit the plug right under the front near side wheel arch...one of our Cerbera's for sale at present has one fitted so if you need any pictures email me

Strikes me as one of the daftest places to put a charging socket, obvious ingress problems and unusable without a change of clothes.

I had this problem sometime back

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=6&h=&t=114047

Eventually I decided on the rear numberplate. I have a neat plug with its own cap which sits discreetly on the bottom right corner of the numberplate.

Easy to wire in, concealed and is used every day. Has the added benefit of simply changing the numberplate to perminently remove it.

Its easily accessible with CLEAN hands and won't get missed because its obvious when on charge and I'm putting my briefcase in the boot.

This sounds like a great idea, do you have any pics and details of the cap you used to cover up?

I mounted an optimate on the ceiling of my garage above the driver's door side; and hanging down is Leven's cigar lighter adapter. I drive in, put the window down, connect the optimate to the lighter, get out, lock car (the rubber seals aren't effected by the wire) and lock garage.

I just leave the bonnet up and connect it direct. Red on positive, earth on the engine/filler cap etc...
It does help of course if you have a garage

You mean the same place that every new Tuscan has them...

I see his point though

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I'm afraid I never seem to manage piccies. Probably because half the websites in the whole are off limits to the N.H.S firewall. If anyone can post I'd be happy to send details?
