door switch not working
Discussion
please...? anyone?
Am I right in thinking I need to prise off the mirror glass then remove the mirror control unit to get at it? Is there anything that complicates this does anyone know? I'm pretty convinced the switch itself is the villain as everything else is working perfectly.
If get an answer, on Saturday I can take and then post up pics of my respray (its lovely)- you can't say fairer than that!

On mine the switch is close to the door so only mirror has to be removed, but have notice on most cars the switch is more centrally fitted so the mirror motor may also need removing.
Also found on mine it was easier to use pin nose pliers to undo the lock nut and pull out with cables still connected and resolder a new one on, that way you cant resolder it all back and find you left the nut off.
