Probably being daft, but how do you remove the loom from the driver's door?

Had a quick pop at it, but was unsucessful and got distracted by other jobs..

I should point out, I had it all unplugged from ECU/window motor etc. It just seem held in place by unseen means and I couldn't workout where the door to body loom plug was.. Didn't want to start dismantling things unnecessarily!

The door to body loom plug is behind the carpet inside the car at the front edge of the door. The loom goes out of the front edge of the door and into the car through the door frame, then into the plug. The body loom plug won't fit back through the hole and the plugs on the other end of the door loom won't fit through the other way, so you have a grim choice of either taking the pins out of the body end plug, or taking the plugs off the other end of the door loom.

Unless it is imperative that you take it out of the door I would leave it be and do any work on it in situ. Of course if ou are taking the door off then it has to come out and I think the pins on the body plug will be easier to take out of the plug body than the one on the other end. You will need a pin extractor tool or a bit of thin walled tubing that just fits over the pin, to press the "wings" back so the pin will come out of the housing.

Cheers for the advice once again!

I was looking to redo the door loom tbh.. Mine is a mess, and some of the wires into the door mirror ECU have corroded and come off and not sure where they have come from..

Might have to just have to do a continuity check instead then..
