my charcoal reflex respray
Discussion
The original colour was OK, but I was never that mad about it and I just LOVE reflex charcoal so this was on the cards when I bought it. Think it looks fabulous, especially with the anthracite SP12s.
The work was done by a certain TVR specialist in the SE who has come in for some stick on here (deserved in some cases) but they have always treated me well and the communication has been first class. I'm no expert in resprays but it looks damn good to me.

Hi,
I was there the day that car was delivered to its first owner by Dream Machines. A very good friend of mine picked up GU52 HPY, I picked up GU52 HPZ both of on the same morning in Jan 2003.
Your car, if I remember rightly was actually a special order Speed Six built to the the Tuscan S spec (but he may have just been saying that coz mine was a Red Rose
)
A great day that, great memories and lovely to see that both cars are still around and still going strong. GU52 HPZ recently sold on PH only a few weeks ago.

I'm still looking for someone to do a front end respray - could you pm your specialist from the SE if you get a mo?The work was done by a certain TVR specialist in the SE who has come in for some stick on here (deserved in some cases) but they have always treated me well and the communication has been first class. And that car is now sitting on GU52 UBA until the DVLA finish switching to V8 FPC.
Just returned from A GOOD GOING OVER from Jason and team at Str8six.....and golly, it's running quite nicely !
I felt she deserved a good polish as well.....can't believe the difference a detailing can make to a 10yr old car. Red Bull Racing Blue really does come out beautifully.
Bring on above zero temps !

A car that I will be forever in love with is GU52 HPZ. I have nearly bought it back on a few occasions. I will always have a soft spot. Was there lots of work needed?
s
t off a shovel and much faster than my current Tuscan vert.
Would love to see pics now that you've given it a spruce or if you're close (Essex?) maybe a quick bevy one sunny day??

Not that far....only other side of the A1
Also planning to be at Chatsworth for the weekend.....staying over
I'll get some pictures taken over this weekend as weather permits......she's looking really quite pert
And answering your question....just wanted to bring everything up to "as good as possible" standard...so a few £100 jobs, wheel repairs, plus new electrics and door seals. Soon all adds up to 3k

Dontcha just love Piston heads! You have just solved a mystery for me because the car is listed in the log book as a Speed Six S and had a (rather nasty tbh) S sticker below the badge. Not much remains of the spec I suspect as it had an Austec rebuild at 36000 miles. I was there the day that car was delivered to its first owner by Dream Machines.
