Hello, I start this topic to help people having trouble to find calipers and bolts.
A few month ago I discovered that my front calipers were good for garbage (4 seized brake nipple, 1 sheared off, piston marked etc...) so I look for new ones, after a few week of searching I find (With the help of AP Racing).

My discs are 322x30mm from Racing Green.
I bought CP5200-802 and CP5200-803 from DT, they are for 330x32mm (max diameter) and after a long wait of 6 weeks (production time) I can tell you that they are exactly the same as the original AP/TVR part, they perfectly fit my discs without any mod.
I also rounded a Caliper->Hub Bolt so I look for a replacement bolt, they are M10x65mmx1.25, nearest part I found are CP3609-112 bolt from Ap (M10x66x1.25) they just need a bit of work too loose the extra mm (like the bolts I removed from the car)

For the rear calipers now:

My discs are 306x29mm like all genuine size on 4.5 cerbera.
The calipers are CP5211-22SO and CP5211-23SO available from any Ap distributor.
If you are thinking of getting a set of front Elise/Exige calipers I think it won't fit as they are for 288x26mm discs and use different pads.
But you can try with a set of CP5311 they use the same casting, pads and mounts, just a difference in the piston size. Ap just stopped the production of these ones from what I find.

Voila, I hope it can help some Cerbera owner.

You might want to add this to the alternate parts listing (IIRC - A sticky at the top of the Cerbera section)...

Just to point out my front disks are 291mm, so I don't think my rear disks are bigger.

Some Cerbera have front calipers with only 4 bolts like the CP5100 family, I guess they have smaller disc too. (4.2 ltr ?)
Obviously the rear discs should be smaller than front, but I can't find any information about a difference on the rear calipers too.

Here is a part of the message from AP:

"Part # CP5200-52S4:TVR & CP5200-53S4:TVR
These calipers are no longer in production due to the demise of this vehicle manufacturer.
It may be that TVR Power of Coventry still hold stock of this 4-pot road caliper with the TVR logo?
But if not then you could replace them with the version using the AP Racing logo.
Part # CP5200-810S4 & CP5200-811S4
See CD drg
These are also slightly rare because they were devised for the small Ø304x32mm disc, where as the common versions are for larger discs of Ø330mm"

So that mean there are 4 different size of front discs on the Cerbera ?:
-291mm x30 (4.2ltr) => AP Calipers ???? CP5100 won't fit as they are for 25.4mm thickness and CP5200-810/811 seem to fit 304mm discs minimun.
-304mm x30 (4.2ltr /S6 from chassis 1B00134 mid 2001) => CP5200-810/811
-322mm x30 (4.5 Red Rose and uprated 4.5) => CP5200-802/803
-330mm x?? (Reyland ??? but definitly not geniune, from what I see on my car there not enough space between my calipers and discs, it will never fit without appropriate spacer.) =>CP5200-802/803 +Spacer ?

I have one with a dead caliper in the workshop at the moment, a '97 4.2. It has a 291 MM disc and the 5200 calipers. And yes, the 5200 calipers are a pig to find, and power don't have any left..

C3BER:
Yes I'm sure they fit 330mm disc as they are for that max diameter, I just think you have a spacer between the hub and the caliper.
I'll take a picture of the space left between my disc and the caliper, I'm sure there is no place for 8mm.

Cerbieherts:
Do you have picture of your caliper ?
You should try to contact AP they are very helpful.
Once you find your reference just find a distributor on their website.

Snake, thanks but a fellow PH'er has sold me a good pair of used calipers, should be with me tommorow! Glad my own 4.5 has the bigger brakes, they seem easier to find...

You only need a 4mm spacer.

Hi i have got a 99 4.2 with 304 mm discs and some made up spacers from previous owner is there any reason why you could not put a bigger spacer to go 322 disc as both callipers take 30 mm width and whats the difference with both callipers as the one for 4.5 does not need spacers for standard discs cheers

Cshaw600: I don't think you can, your caliper is "curved" to fit a precise disc size. You have a tolerance so you can add a spacer and use a bigger disc, but going from 291mm disc to 322mm is not possible in my opinion (I'm not sure I let PH user correct me if needed), or if it is I think a part of your disc will not be in contact with the pad anymore.

4.5´s calipers are bigger than 4.2. You can see a difference in casting, look at google at CP5100 and then look at CP5200, one as 4 bolts on the casting and the other as 6.

Hallo,

If people have trouble finding the correct caliper.
I still have a brand new boxed set of these CP 5200 calipers with the TVR logo on left.

Hans.

That is all extremely useful info, thank you.

Although I have not used them myself, it is possible to drill out seized brake nipples and replace them with a self-contained two piece bleed nipple that has it's own seat (rather than sealing against the caliper body). Unfortunately I don't know who makes them.
