My wipers seem to be going a bit slower and i would like to make sure the motor is lubricated etc. Is there any trick to getting it out or do I have to take the header tank and bracket off.

Did this again a couple of nights ago. Quite straightforward really;

1. Remove the airbox
2. Remove the battery
3. Unbolt the header tank from the bracket and slide the header tank a bit to...
4. Unbolt the bracket from the car
5. Now the header tank should be free to be pushed to one side giving you access to the wiper motor.
6. Remember to unplug the cable from the park switch first, then undo the 2 nuts holding the bracket in place around the motor. You will have to open the motor to separate the cable from the motor itself.

Then again, this explains it with pictures!

Very useful guide I managed to leave the bottom hose connected so didn't have to drain the header down and just lifted it up out of the way.
