mot again

Well gave the garage a call tonight to find out how the mot went....Fail
1 slight blow on centre pipe
2 left rear hanbrake not good(are they ever)
3 and then the good old emissions (fails every year)

Think the garage were going to suggest new lamba sensors so i told em both were replaced last year.
Anyway am having the tappets done,engine oil replaced and a new relief spring chucked in.Starter motor has got a fault so they are also looking into this.Lastly i have a low end small misfire ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh same as last year surely the lambas cant be gone again,only done about 500 miles since last mot.suppose the list is good news in some ways here's hoping i get it back soon as we all know what next weekend is......last year was close for me

Bad luck spongy.... but as we say around Chatsworth..... It never rains but it pours

I think you need to find another MOT tester... Or start leaving a £20 note on the dash board

lol never mind bud if it passed first time think it would make life to easy and put me off the car...the bad thing is i have never noticed a misfire on the old girl...this year or last.At least they have the tools to track down the fault best to get it sorted now as she is due a 500 mile round trip very soon.....see you there....no brollies this year sir

Its all done......what a week.had to get cats put in for mot,misfire was a half melted plug lead,handbrake needed a good clean up......due to lack of use,and 8 new shims.Anyway had an oil change and also had the relief spring done no real change in pressure but does run higher on motorway....60 at about 70 mph....65-70 at higher revs......65 on cold start and tickover down to 50 on hot tickover.ordered a new starter and a new set of leads which will be fitted after chatsworth.......main thing though hotel booked,so see you all soon
