question...... cams now installed and timed, do I need to pour oil into the wells that the followers sit in, to form a puddle, or just oil the lobs etc up with an oil can prior to starting the car. (With the cam covers bolted down)!

I would use an assembly lubricant on the followers and cam lobes. It at least stands some chance of still being there when the oil starts flowing.
