Don't suppose you have the details or a link where I can download XP?

What kind of person do you think I am, this software is licenced to the Microsoft corp and with the

profits they make for the Co Founder and major share holder, William Gates III he engages in Philanthropy on a biblical scale.

PS if you go for Win7 use the 32bit version, this may be worth reading

In windows 7 you could run the app natively, or run the app in XP mode. In this way it ran under an emulation but you'd never know, then when the app tried to shutdown it just shutdown the emulator, not the main PC.

However Windows 8 hasn't got this. Could you try the VirtualBox XP image and run it as a virtual machine that way?
Have you tried the app natively? Are you using a USB to serial convertor?

I've got one of these with my Windows 7 laptop I use to access network switches. Not tried it on the Cerbera yet

I've been trying to get it to work on our Win7 laptop with no success yet. I've got a Win xp laptop hiding away which I use for OBD11 though so I'll make sure Brett is sorted.

I kinda wish computery people would stop changing things. I place a much higher value on things working properly than I do on a flashy new 'user experience'!

Don't trust anything I say
BUT
the ECU Diags don't run on 64-bit OS so Win 7 is u/s
I downloaded the ORACLE VM Virtualbox package (free)
then loaded an old XP 32-bit OS as a Guest VM
(You MUST have summat Win 98 or 95 that you have an OS for,Shirley)
Installed the TVR ECU Diags on the XP Guest
then
Robert is your Mother's Sister's Husband

I hope to create an article about this in SPRINT soon as Bob is, in fact, NOT my Uncle and I have cried blood trying to set it all up.

I am not very familiar with the mbe software or with setting up t pots etc... But the app looks fab and I am very keen to buy it and to be able to see all the features live in the car eg water temp, fans on, throttle pots, mph etc etc
Aide is adding dials to the app. Maybe even a wireless system. I will look to install an android device (galaxy s3) into the car.

The android App does sound like a win if it does everything, I just want to see why I'm only getting a 100 miles to a tank!
Think I must have a knackered air temp, lambda, air flow or something sensor!
