Never been beaten before by a mechanical issue but I just gave up trying to fit the foocking glass fibre air box and pipes under the drivers side dash. 2hrs of twisted back, pipes that go nowhere tubes that wrap round the steering column its got to be the worst designed pile of s

Wish i could help, mine are a bit of a Tw*t to say the least, i think if i remember correctly your best off hooking the bottom of the air box on first and sort of roll it from the bottom over the trumpets and it should work.
I actually shaved the rough edges off my air boxes and this helped a bit ... only a very small amount mind.

Its not the engine airboxes its the bloody aircon/blower airbox fitted in the drivers footwell. There are 3 outlet pipes, I know where they all go but in what order and where you are supposed to safely route the pipes without them interfering with the wiring or the steering is a complete mystery. Sorry, missread the post. no doubt youve tried the workshop manual, although that doesnt appear to tell you how it all fits together just how to get them in & out
The three way branch is cold feed. One goes to lower dash centre eyeball the another to footwell eyeball, I only have one eyeball in footwell so the other I have blanked off or you get constant cold air blowing at speed. Not nice on the way to Spa in cold weather I tell you !!!
There should be another pipe coming from centre console that is the hot feed, just point this in general direction where you want warm air to go
Hope this helps

Just out of interest what are you doing that needed it taking out?
I'm replacing the entire carpet set. Right now it seems like a worse job than doing the diff bushes.(Although its maybe the weeks in the Swiss sanatorium afterwards that helped me to feel that the diff job wasn't as bad as everyone says)
The last few weeks has been every weekend laid out in the car with my head in one or other footwell amid nasty fibres and resin from the shell and dust from the old glue.
Note the time on the post with the pic. Couldn't sleep with the aching back and battered fingers so fitted the oil temp gauge. I must be bonkers.
Of course I'm bonkers. I own a Cerbera
