Got stopped driving into work today by one of our security guards, conversation:

SG: Wow, nice car sir, what is it?
Me: Its a TVR
SG: ah, but what actually is it?
Me: Its a TVR Cerbera
SG: Oh, so what make is it
Me: Its a TVR
SG: OK, is that a kit car then?
Me: No, ..... its a TVR
SG: Right, so thats a proper make is it then?
Me: Yep, TVR made in Blackpool, etc....
SG: Well, its sounds amazing
Me: Thanks
SG: What sort of engine is it?
Me: Its...... TVR.... 4.5 V8....
SG: Wow, well its beautiful & does sound amazing

Now he knows what a TVR is..... and he likes them

It is amazing and sad how few of our youngsters have any idea what they are.

Was doing some work on someone's garden the other day which meant I had to leave Black Beauty rond the back, outside some terraced concrete garages.

Went back to the car towards the end of the job and a 400 year old Luxembourg woman was looking at the car.

She said to me, in English, "I've never seen one of these before."
"No ? a TVR ?"
"No, I've never heard of them."
"They're a small manufacturer in the north of England."
"Very nice, beautiful."

... and off she went. I've never been so impressed with a Luxo...
