Does anyone keep their car in a garage
Discussion
Just wondered, and it puzzles me sometimes cos I'm daft and don't think like normal folk, how many Cerbera owners keep their cars outside most of the time, mine lives a life of luxury in a heated garage, but from the flooded footwell nightmares and the guy whos retrimmed but then thwarted by the rain, open windows and flat batteries, I worry for you all.
Is it not enough that we own fairly unpredictable, edge of technology albeit fifteen year old technology cars, to then look after them on the street, in all weathers, those guys who manage that are truly dedicated, commited, (or should be), and deserve a medal.
Thankfully mine took me to work and back today, just the one crazy overtaking thing, god I love that 3rd to 4th blast, and it is now safely back under the duvet.
Not many more outings before it goes to Willow for the summer, don't think I will get the same feeling from the Citroen C3, popping in to see Nick tommorow, not told him yet, oops, need to talk money and upgrades etc.
Anyway to all Cerbera owners , indoors or outdoors, cheers, time for another bottle, I think, Happy Friday, nearly,

Mine lives in the garage, nice and cosy on the accumate.
Always gets an affectionate rub on the light cluster on my way to the utility room.
Owned it for 7 years and I'll still stand there staring at it
Love the smell of hot oil in there after a good thrash.
But it has been spoilt and will sulk/misbehave if left outside for too long.

Heated insulated garage but will take her out in the extremes, they don't like to sit still to long IMO ! Friend of mine has a Cerb that sits outside with no garage but he uses on regular basis all year round with no problems. I'd guess that leaving them laid up outside in the winter with no use causes problems that regular use would sort out ......
The days when I had to work on my cars outside in the snow are thankfully over, and if that were still the case I never would have entertained owning a Cerb (or any other TVR). One of the reasons why I bought a 928 many years ago was because they are virtually corrosion proof.
The idea of having a TVR parked outside all winter, watching the chassis disintegrate in front of my eyes, is simply too scary to contemplate.

When I was looking to buy, the one piece of advice that was consistent, from all sales points was
"Don't think of buying a TVR if you can't keep it garaged".
Luckily, our situation means that she rests in a carpeted garage. No accumate.
Has only 'not started' when she's been on axle stands for 3 months.
As long as she's going, she's used every day.
Use keeps 'em alive.

Mines pampered.
Sitting warm and dry in a big double garage topped up and waiting to go on its accumate. She stayed in there from Dec to April this year. Only issue I have had is that its so comfy and warm in there that a group of mice took up residence in the boot! An ultra sonic mouse repeller soon sorted that!
No sign of any damp and the chassis is like new. Personally I don't think these cars can be treated like a mass market Eurobox and be expected to live outside in all weathers. The elements will eventually take their toll on the chassis, interior and electrics.

Not back home yet, but suspect xenon upgrade vs. Alternator is the battery culprit. Oh for the want of a garage...

but she has been washed loads and will soon get her yearly mega polish.my chassis is a god one not show(yet) but very solid.
