I hate asking questions I know have been asked recently.. I cannot find the threads though. Links?

Replacement fuel line specs? Worth looking into braided or stick with OEM style rubber..? Do you keep the OEM style connections?

I went to my local hydraulics supplier, I took the old lines with me and asked them to re-use the fittings. They happen to be the same company that supply our fuel lines at work - so I got marine grade nitrile lined stuff. I also used some aluminium and fibreglass 'cool sleeve' heat shielding.

All worked out fine for me.

All the connections to the hard fuel lines (two under the expansion bottle and one in each rear wheel arch) should be compression joints with an olive that slips onto the hard line. The olive tends to sieze onto the steel line and may have to be cut off and replaced.
Some people just remove the compression fitting and slip the hose over the hard line and secure it with a hoze clip. Personaly I wouldn't consider that an adequate join for high pressure petrol. Replacement olives are available but are a slightly unusual long type. (Usual TVR caveat applies - your car may have left the factory with completely different fittings to mine!)

I know it's not 'best practise' but I was able to re-use the existing olives. I checked, checked again, adjusted, and re-checked that I had absolutely no leaks.

I don't think its a problem reusing the olives so long as the joint doesn't leak. Once its done up and secure an olive joint isn't likely to start leaking.

A hose clip on a rubber pipe pushed onto a straight tube without even a swage to hold it on is a different matter!

Just a note mine were not under the expansion tank but under the bulkhead above the starter motor.
