What sizes are you running out there.

235/40 18 front and 255/30 18 rear?

my spiders have 225/35/18 front and 255/35/18 rears. - dont think you can go wider in fronts without fouling problems.

Your rear tyres are over 10mm higher than your front ones if you use those. Is that how they are meant to be?

Corin,

They are. The fronts look like rubber bands! - these are the TVR recommened sizes.

TVR now recommend that with spiders, fronts are also run on the rear, therefore 225's all round.

Something to do with rear hub and not being able to fit the centre caps on...

Has anyone upgraded to spiders from 16's or 17's, I understand that it isn't a straight swap?

I think it is front "rims" all round. not tyres. - This is because of the different offset on front and back rims. -Still 255 rears IMO.

Correct.

It is front RIMS all round but you have to grind the end off the stub axle to get the centrecap on the wheel.

tyre sizes depend on what yr of cerb and whether the spiders are a retro fit.

I went to a local engineering firm who turned these alloy center caps out on a lathe for me. They stick out about 10mm rather than the standard flush fitting ones...

This sorts out the issue of the hub sticking out!!!!

Cost me £60 though!!!!!!!!!

I run 225/35/18 front - 255/35/18 rear...
