lupo headlight conversion
Discussion
I tried to find a thread with a step-by-step method to do this conversion, but I failed... Did find some pictures which showed that the hole has to be made bigger to put the lights through from behind. Are there also pictures that show how the headlights are fixed to the body? From the inner arch side?
I have also been looking for the same information, there is some for the Chimaera but not a full step by step guide.
I have started doing the conversion on my Cerbera, I have cut the passenger side headlamp fibreglass bowl out and enlarged the hole, cut a larger inspection cover out of the inner arch and positioned lupo light in the wing. There is nothing to be able to reference to though, I have now started to trim the outer cover/cowl to the shape of the headlamp but it is not easy as I have a light and cover all floating about in a hole in the wing. Seamed like a good idea before I started! lol
I could really do with a paper/card template from a car that has already been done to get the cut line for the outer cover so I can then fix the light to this position, anyone able to help?
I have only just bought my project Cerbera and am preparing her for MOT, the headlamp reflectors are shot with virtually no chrome left and I have liked the look of the Lupo conversion I have seen on the Chimaera's but have only ever seen one picture of a Cerbera with the conversion. As I need to sort the headlamps for MOT this seamed like a good time to do the conversion. I have been taking pictures of my Lupo conversion so hope to be able to post some pictures to give people a better idea of what is involved as it isn't straight forward.
