Assuming your insurer lets you pick who you want to fit the screen is it not easier and cheaper to claim through that and just pay the £50 - £100 excess. Maybe I'm missing something ?
Assuming you just have a hammer accident first and claim then it's insurance fraud. If it's genuinely broken from a stone or whatever then that's fair enough and I've claimed myself on other cars previously for that.Purely for myself, I want a spare Cerb screen because mine has a small amount of delamination at the bottom, and I intend to get it retrimmed and resprayed either next year or the one after when the body comes off to refurbish the chassis, and screens often break when removed.
Morally I couldn't claim that off insurance, and perhaps niaively hope that everyone else is as conscientious in order to keep classic car insurance to a minimum because I like to own several cars at once.
Sorry guys the early Cerb screen is now sold, and he only had one of each.
If any one wants spare bosch headlight glass as there getting rare these days he has a couple left along with early Cerb scuttle panel unpainted, the odd black box ecu's not sure which as never looked. loads more bits but mainly for T cars.
