Sorry to say they just do that.

Not sure there is a cure that lasts.

Imagine having a huge rear wing to make this happen even quicker!!!

We repair these one a year! About 6 inches long at the moment......

Mine hasn't got any but previous two did. Think a decent body shop can fix it properly...?

Isn't it because the 'rear end' of the Cerb isn't directly supported by the chassis, which ends just ahead of the fuel tank? As the boot is self-supported, the stress from its own weight creates the cracks (mine has them too) and there isn't much you can do about it. Don't put anything heavy in the boot and certainly don't fit a whacking great big spoiler rofl

Exactly. It's a design flaw (unbelievable, I know!!) not helped by putting a lot of weight in the boot..

What method do the body shops use to repair. Presumably it's more than dig out and fill

Normally I think the drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading and then dig out and fill.

I don't think there is much else that can be done, I just leave it, it does no harm and if you try and repair it then it will almost certainly come back.

I'm sure they would come back, all you can do is wish your car was a darker colour, the cracks really stand out on the lighter colours...

Thanks guys, I wont rush to get sorted they are only tiny at the moment but just seemed to appear last weekend. Im a bit fussy so these sort of things tend to irritate me. Sounds like rushing out and spending hard earned on getting them repaired would be a waste
