Just started mot preps. Just topping up empty washer resovoir but water is only going on the floor.
Any tips to fix this? It's a mk2 and so I guess it's remove the panel that covers the chassis frontal area and see what's happened...? Back to BBQ pork.

common issue. As you have suggested you will have to take the panel off. The problem is usually caused by the tube from the panel not actually being connected to the fluid bottle (you will know what I mean when you take the panel off).
Even if the tube is connected you still have to pour the fluid in very slowly. It just seems to be the way they are smile

I've found it much easier to jack up and remove the wheel and reach under the panel to reattach it.

Ive had this - remove wheel and lower cover - the pipe #should# fit to the washer reservoir but on mine was completely disconnected so refilling just topped up the compartment. Easy enough to refit the filler pipe though ...

thanks chaps.
Wheel off and reattached the pipe. Jobs a good 'un.
For some reason mine now takes an age to fill up but its working!

Replacing the F1 and attaching the pipe is a bit of an black art but small hands help :-)
