I am currently sat in the cerb unable to start. It has no electrics at all even the clock has stopped. It has been going well all day, stopped at a garage to check the water level switched it off and then nothing. It's not the silver key as I have bi passed it.
Anyone got any ideas.

Mine is now parked up 20 miles away with no water, a bonnet I cannot open and a slow puncture at the rear. I would not mind but its due to have its rev counter put back in on Monday and that's only two miles from where the car is now :-(

How is the bonnet stuck shut ?
That would be almost a dream for me, mines always flapping in the wind! Hope you get sorted.

It's having a paddy. Trying to turn the knob but it will not move. Until that's sorted I cannot check what let go to lose the water. To say I'm pissed off is putting it lightly.

Have you tried ignoring the knob & just lifting it ? From the edge by the windscreen, just push the bonnet sideways & lift. I'd be shocked if it didn't open. At worse, you make break one of those high quality, Three pence, plastic nuts that hold it in place.

Just heading off now to see what I can do with it but I will give it a go. Had all the water pipes changed two months ago and I think it's one of those that's gone. Off with the F1 and fingers crossed.

I had this problem - there is a grub screw on the bonnet release knob that if you loosen off will allow it to turn.

Of course I only found this out after I had forced entry to the bonnet breaking the plastic pointy things... rolleyes

Plastic 'T' piece next to the expansion tank had cracked :-(

Will let you know why the bonnet would not open later.

Lol Gazzab. It's done now and pressure tested and has a nice metal fix rather than the plastic one. Few jobs outstanding to sort but it lives :-) .

Needs Paul's front discs, handbrake ratchet sorting and that's it. Well I want to have a play with the rear set up as I'm rubbing the rears but that's no problem as I like the smell of burnt rubber.
