Been going to Le Mans for years and recently starting to apply the livery just for a bit of fun. It includes the banner 'TVR because Porsche is for girls'.

We camp about 7 or 8 miles out of Le Mans at a fantastic camp site in the grounds of a chateau. I've stayed there 12 times now. On the Friday eve they have a parade of the exotic cars staying there. This year my Cerb wasn't selected for the parade which initially annoyed me. In hind sight I was relieved as I was a little the worse for wear on the beers and am not sure I could've driven it through the parade itself.

Anyway, here's a pic of Dominique, one of the owners of the chateau/ campsite, next to his brothers old 996 Carrera with one of my Le Mans stickers on it - the brother who owns the Porsche was the one who turned me away from the parade! Dominique asked me to mail him the pic so he can post it up on their website. Ah revenge is sweet!

Sorry to see you get turned away. Great looking car and would have been great to see you there. I think it was a, simple one of each car scenario and you might not have been around when Dominique's brother asked.

Jean-William is a miserable git to be fair so it came as no surprise. Dominique is a great guy and was very disappointed that the Cerb didn't go through.

2009 and 2010 my Tuscan went in the show and features in the pictures on the wall in the bar. 2010 I was first through but without being invited and happened to have a gold thong hanging from the boot (not mine!), so I think my card is marked!

No hard feelings and I hope Jean-William takes our little joke in the right spirit.

I first saw one of those stickers on a yellow Cerb outside Fernies with his family in tow a few years ago, would that have been you then or do other Cerb owners have these stickers?

I got some made up in 2009, that one I took off the Cerb and stuck on the Porsche was the last one. I'll order some more for next year though

Mind ordering one for me too? Would be nice to have before next year if you know what I mean tongue out if your at the classic lets do and all or nothing on the TVR's attending tongue out personally seeing a car dealer win was a little bemusing in the masseratti. There were better candidates including yours and the mustang, at least our yellow chim got an award smile

Where in Chanteloup were you camping? We've been going there since 2002 for both the 24hr and the Classics. We were in the girly SL500 this year up next to the swimming pool. I'm hoping to be getting a 'project' 4.2 Cerb in the next few weeks for a full body off restoration and maybe an LS conversion! (Not decided on that detail yet)

The funny thing about the Maserati is that he spelt his livery wrong - heurs rather than heures all over his car. Posted pics on the PH Le Mans forum where it was pointed out to him and he then changed it. Not sure a masser shows a lot if imagination, anyone with a few ££ can buy one of them

We usually camp to the right of where the cars line up for the parade (if you we're stood on the terrace of the chateau), not in the trees but just before them

I agree, the TVR's should have won, loads of positive comments about the noise etc, but then again i'm biased :P I will not be making any more noise in next years show at the Classic, in protest, cackle!, or we could just organise our own show over the other side, which is pretty much what we had where we were parked :P

Indeed mate I thought your Cerb looked great would have been god to have both in the show, or maybe yours instead of mine! I meant to catch a word with you later but I had a few too many beers myself and didn't know what you looked like!

Anyway I'll hopefully be there next year it's a great place!
