What clutch fluid for a Cerb? RP Slave fitted.. RP just said Dot 4. Worth running something like ATE Superblue? For it's high temp properties?

Clutch fluid shouldn't get hot, unlike brake fluid.

Any cheap and ordinary stuff would be fine (imho)

You get the heat from the exhausts/engine etc.. I thought heat was one of the killers of the seals?

I have been told not to use synthetic fluid as it rots the seals, used DOT4 previously but it knackers the master-cylinder seals so have got DOT5 in currently.....will see how that goes.

Yes, but nothing like the heat you get in brake calipers!

Can you touch the clutch pipe after a good run, would you touch a brake caliper?

1 more vote for ATE super blue IMHO, used in my track car & road cars for years now.

Not the highest boiling point, but in comparison the absorbtion rate is very low. The best of both worlds.

I car currently has silicone clutch fluid, by the past servicing garage. Notice tell tale spots under the car to suggest the slave.

When I rebuild later this year, ATE will be used.
