Low Loader, flat surface and a couple of thick wooden planks to roll the car onto before the ramps of the loader. Set ramps/loader carriage to lowest setting to avoid front or exhaust scrapes. ![]()
Never tried a trailer.
Spot on. Wooden planks were used for me too(AA). When my suspension collapsed, it took them hour and a half, plus more planks to get it on. They didn't damage a thing.
Bog standard "AA" sliding bed recovery truck scooped mine up without catching the front or rear for its journey back to Oxford, ( driver knew where the dealer was......... says something doesen`t it !!)
Bit concerned that the strap catches that choked down the wheels were very close to my nice grey spiders...... remains to be seen if they survived without scratches when I collect the car

Same here, but the nice man put bits of rag between the wheels and straps to prevent this. Agree with all the above with the use of a flat bed. They can't use the spoons for the front wheels to sit in because its suppose to damage the LS diff. Plus the major factor here is the rear of the car will tilt to much and our nice burble, pop and bang pipes dont like that!!

In the Midlands area try Adrian at CentralTVR 01384-571021 or Brian Till Recovery on 07973-612963. Both have transporters that'll shift a TVR without needing bits of wood or having to climb out of the window, cos the door won't open against the trailer's wheels.
Many thanks, Brian's collecting it on Thursday.
Hi Baz, It's at a dealer & needs a replacement sump, but I've been waiting a week for a price. I've lost patience & have ordered a recovery vehicle to bring it back to my local indie.
For some reason I wanted the TVR stamp in my service book, but I'm starting to think that may not be a good sign.
Edited to add, that this isn't confined to TVR, I've just had the the works Ford Transit back from a service & it's got somebody elses wheels & tyres on it.
As their's are nearly new & our's had 36k on them, I've decided against complaining
