Quarantine should be fine... I've done it with a well (ab)used Defender before and as long as you've kept it clean, it'll be OK.
FWIW - If you can, get down to the Quay and be on-site for the inspection. The personal touch does help as it is harder for them to order a steam clean if they have to say it to your face (the inspector is human after all).

Just waiting for customs to give the ok on the docs I gave them for the valuation then I can sort out a date to go down to unpack it. I am hoping that they don't request to steam clean as I know that it could be up to 5 weeks to get it back and cost a few $, hopefully being there will help, especially if the didn't ask for a 4x4 to be cleaned!
Good news about the seat bolster, can't wait to get the wee man in and out for a drive.
