Does everyone else suffer from the damned park switch packing up ever year?? On my second replacement now! So annoying changing the thing too!

Still getting wet in the cab too, even after putting a bead of silicone sealant around the brake reservoir! Any other idea's?

My drivers door seems to protude a fraction more than the passenger door when shut. Can this be changed by simple re-alignment??

And the dammned oil leak from the airbox on the drivers side where the breather pipe joins! So smelly with the windows open!!

Park switch? Assume you are refering to the handbrake microswitch, which illuninates on the dash when in park/ignition on? I found that the 'bent' metal strip, used to determine whether the micro switch was in the on/off position was 'overbent' in my case, and when the handbrake was off, it seemed to be putting too much pressure on the microswitch itself...carefully bent strip a little at a time till just right, and cured my prob

This could be a multitude of enteries around the bulkhead area...if you do a search using "water/footwells" you should find a list of possible water entry points!...could be any one of them!

Some adjustment can be made on the lock mechanism both on the door and B post from what I can see...apoorly shutting door could also be a way that you are getting the water in!

Mastic around joint maybe...a new jubilee clip...some Araldite if its cracked...keeep the windows shut! ...sorry cant really comment too much with this one!

many people get the windscreenwiper park switch replaced about ten quid from a goo mini spares supplier.

I recently had this problem but took the switch apart and cleaned it up. All works fine now. Just a pain taking the coolant reservoir out of the way. Have fun.
