Are you're de-cat pipes just the standard replacements or the ones with extra baffles that joospeed does.
My cerb has sports pipes and I am considering de-catting but don't know weather to go for the straight through pipes or the ones with baffles.
I like em loud, but its pretty loud as it is and I don't want to attract too much attention from the boys in blue!!
Any advice please??

Mine's decatted and has sports pipes, both on the car when I got it. To be honest I really considered putting the cats back in as it was so loud
.
Glad I didnt, get used to the noise in the end
Your only going to anoy the BiB around town as far as noise is concerned, so just drive accordingly

Is that including the sports pipes you have bought?
The de-cat pipes are only £90 + P+P from joospeed (or close to that amount) and take no time to fit if DIY!
Was the re-map the upgraded one i've read about on previoud threads?
From what i've heard from other owners a re-map is not necessary for de-catting.
My cats are still on however so I can't really comment from experience.
Hope you enjoy your sports pipes though!!

yeah, sounds right on costs
I use the emerald ECU which is much easier to work with if you want to upgrade again afterwards .. plus dave walker only charges 200 pounds for full mapping session when you buy his ecu.. once you've bought the emerald (cheaper than the austec mapping) you can fiddle and change to your heart's content and always have the original map to go back to if you mess things up .. the emerald is THE most user-friendly system on the market today and although you may hear that it's not at the cutting edge of the ECU tech industry it does everything we could ever want and more
result!

Austec 'mentioned' a figure of between £700-£1000 for the remap etc, dependant on whether or not I was to get the injectors cleaned at the same time (I think thats what they said anyway). Being very local to Austec it would seem sensible to use them (to me anyway) as any saving by using someone further afield would be swallowed up in driving/transporting the car to the cheaper, err I mean more cost effective mapper?
This is all guess work as I dont really know what I'm talking about

no you're right, that's all exactly true, if you have someone local who can do the same job for about the same price it makes sense
