Rattly Rear Brake Pads

Evening,

My rear pads have rattled for ages which hasn't bothered me to much, but all this lovely weather and window down motoring has made it quite apparent that I should do something about it. I think I read on here once that this was fixable by a dab of silicon (?). Question is... Is that right, where do i dab, and how easy is it? Presumably I can do it without having to bleed brakes or any other such nasty job...

Stick the pads to the pistons with the silcon, job done.
